Pink Ribbon Program
Exercise is probably the last thing on your mind after breast cancer surgery. You’re exhausted, your chest and arm hurt, and the adjuvant treatments leave you feeling even worse. However, recent studies indicate a link between moderate exercise and improved quality of life for breast cancer survivors.
The Pink Ribbon Program™ is designed to help you regain full range of motion in the areas affected by breast cancer surgery, stretching and strengthening the shoulders, chest, back, and abdominal muscles. Using the Pink Ribbon Program protocol, our certified breast cancer post-rehab specialists offer a post-operative workout to aid in your recovery. Sessions are one-on-one and take place in a private setting.
Your first session is a free, 15-minute consultation, scheduled approximately 6-8 weeks after your surgery. During your consultation, a post-rehab specialist will meet with you to explain the program, determine the status of the affected side(s), and set goals for your recovery. No commitment is required.
If you choose to proceed with the program, initial sessions are 30 minutes in length and we move at a pace that’s suitable for you. After you develop a comfortable range of motion, you can choose to increase your workout to 50 minutes. It’s up to you.
