What is your favorite thing about being a Pilates teacher?

What drew me to Pilates is the way the Method feels in my own body. I’ve been in the Fitness industry since I was 16, back when I taught group exercise and was a Personal Trainer. Once day I stumbled upon Romana’s Pilates studio in NYC, and I was in love from the start. I’ve been practicing and teaching Pilates nearly every day for the last 21 years. What I like for my clients is to begin with the basic principle of Pilates, and add in exercises as they become proficient. I love when they start “getting it” — they get excited about the changes in their body, and they can self correct with just one word from me.

What is the one thing you cannot resist?

I can’t resist being outside on a beautiful day!

What three traits define you?

Empathy, decision-making based on logic rather than emotion, and my love for people and animals.
