Fall is right around the corner, and with it more outdoors activities, such as walking, biking the trails, and enjoying nature and its bold display of color. I’m already reaching for my boots just thinking about it! This fall, I want to challenge you to live a balanced life, paying particular attention to your health and wellness
And I want to help you do just that. My fall vision for Studio BE is to offer you multiple avenues of wellness, designed to help you BE beautiful, BE strong, BE amazing, and most of all BE you.
Our nutritionist Danielle Omar will be offering a 21-day clean eating program. I can’t say enough good things about this program, and I hope you’ll sign up. I want you to experience the same benefits I did when I went through this program last year.
John Villanueva will be offering a workshop, Meditation, Mindfulness, and Mantra on September 19 from 2-5 pm. And here’s the best part. The cost is only $40. John will teach us what type of meditation is best for us and show us how to do it.
And that’s not all!
I’m looking into a new venture with a great nutritional company that customizes supplements based on individual needs. I will share more about this by mid-month. We will also be eliminating some of our existing programs and replacing them exciting new ones, designed to help you achieve success. We will also be offering more self-help classes to teach you how to take your health and wellness practice home so that you can build a healthy routine into those days you aren’t in the studio.
Many clients ask me about my health and wellness routine, so I thought I’d share it with you. First, I try to do Pilates at least four times per week. I take a private session weekly from my mentor and take two group classes a week. I also take one or two yoga classes per week and work out at least twice a week on my own in the studio.
Nutritionally, I eat as healthy as possible and consume no animal products. I try to eat all organically grown fruits and vegetables and avoid processed foods. I am against the use of steroid injections to accelerate an animal’s growth and the inhumane treatment of animals, which is why I chose to be a vegan. If I lived on an all-organic farm and raised my cattle, I would happily consume meat and animal products.
I also take nutritional supplements and use bio-identical hormones. I see a chiropractor weekly and get at least two massages a month as well as a minimum of one facial a month. I believe in taking care of myself in every way possible so that I stay young and healthy.
Does this sound like a lot? It is. But it didn’t happen all at once. It’s a day-by-day journey, one that I love and want to share with all of you. My advice is to take baby steps, starting with just one thing at a time. If you’re a client of Studio BE, you’ve already taken an important step. All those things that you know are good for you…make them a routine. Pick one thing you’ve been hoping to do and try it for just one month. Most people love how it makes them feel and make it a part of their routine. Then, add something else.
It’s easy to put others first. We forget to take care of ourselves because we have spouses, children, parents, pets, etc. that count on us. Well, if we don’t take care of ourselves, we aren’t going to be good to anyone else.
Do what makes you happy. Do what makes you healthy. Be the person you want to BE!
